Lagos Agrithon 2026
About this opportunity
Lagos Agrithon 2026 is the flagship youth agrifood innovation and enterprise acceleration programme of the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems, powered by the Lagos Agrinnovation Club. It is designed to identify, nurture, support, and scale youth-led agribusinesses and agritech innovations that are transforming Lagos State's food systems, from farm to fork. This year offers a ₦200 million grant pool to support innovative agribusinesses and agritech solutions. The initiative is designed to provide young agripreneurs with funding, mentorship, technical support, networking opportunities, and market access to help transform innovative ideas into sustainable businesses. Applicants must generally have a business that is at least three years old, show evidence of an MVP or verifiable sales, have founders aged 18-40, be CAC-registered, have LASSRA registration, and be based in Lagos or working on projects that impact Lagos agrifood systems. Innovators working across agricultural production, processing, logistics, cold chain management, mechanisation, climate resilience, biotechnology, and digital agriculture are encouraged to apply for the programme. Priority areas include cold chain and storage, climate-smart farming, smart farming technologies, waste-to-value solutions, digital platforms, ag-finance, market linkages, farm equipment design, and innovative product development. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their agribusiness or agritech solution to industry experts and investors, compete for a share of the ₦200 million grant pool, refine their business model through mentorship and capacity-building sessions, showcase their solution at the Lagos Agrinnovation Summit, and connect with strategic partners, investors, and other young agripreneurs across Lagos.
