2026 China Merchants C Star Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program

The 2026 China Merchants C Star Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program, sponsored by the China Merchants Foundation and led by China Merchants Shekou, is now accepting applications from young entrepreneurs across Africa and beyond. This program aims to help participants scale their impact, expand internationally, and connect with China's innovation ecosystem. The unique “3+1” entrepreneurship journey includes in-person training in Djibouti with hands-on workshops and networking, a cloud training camp offering expert-led online courses and mentorship, and a China study tour to explore the innovation ecosystem, visit leading companies, and build connections. Outstanding participants may also receive ongoing incubation, business matching opportunities, and access to Chinese business and funding networks. Eligibility requires applicants to be aged 18–45, a founder, co-founder, or key team member of an actively operating startup, and demonstrate growth potential and commitment to creating positive economic or social impact. Most major program costs will be covered by the China Merchants Foundation.
