Aruwa Capital Management
About this opportunity
Aruwa Capital Management is a Lagos-based, female-founded and led growth equity and gender lens investment company. The firm focuses on investing in established, rapidly growing companies within the small to lower mid-market segment in Nigeria and Ghana, and potentially other African countries. These companies are typically too large for traditional venture capital but too small for larger private equity funds. Aruwa Capital Management seeks businesses that provide essential goods and services catering to women, are founded or co-founded by a woman, or have women within their workforce, senior management team, or value chain. A positive attitude towards and active support of a diverse team is also a key criterion. Eligible companies are expected to have an annual turnover of at least $500,000 and a proven management team with a history of delivering on their business plan. The fund typically invests between $500,000 and $2.5 million in critical sectors such as healthcare, fintech, renewable energy, and essential consumer goods. Beyond providing capital, Aruwa offers hands-on strategic support, leveraging its expertise and networks to enhance operational efficiency, facilitate market expansion, and foster sustainable business success, with a goal of long-term value creation and positive socio-economic impact.
